Children learn best from first hand experiences so exploring, playing and learning using a range of activities (both designed by the leader and instigated by the children themselves) is what forest school is all about. The Sensory room is a tranquil place for the children to spend some quiet time. It can be used to help the children explore their different senses; Sight, Smell, Sound, Touch. It has soft comfortable cushions to sit or lie on; soft, calming music and wind chimes to listen to; colourful lights, light reflectors and mirrors too. As well as hard, soft and textured objects to touch and scented objects to smell.
